Whether it's a table for ten or a table for two, keep bread, rolls, tortillas, chips, baked goods and more toasty warm throughout your meal with a terracotta breadwarmer.
Our breadwarmer baskets each feature an ethically made terracotta warming stone, crafted from eco-friendly clay harvested by our artisan partners in Bangladesh. Each is incised with a unique and naturally-inspired design. Choose from a number of one-of-a-kind designs, from our popular Double Vine Breadwarmer to our classic Peace Dove Breadwarmer. There's a style for every occasion. We also have several seasonal designs, from snowflakes for Christmas to a spring meadow for Easter.
We carry different shapes and sizes of breadwarmers to fit all your breadwarming needs. Our round warming stones are great for muffins, rolls, and tortillas, and our oval warming stones keep small loaves of bread, chips, challas, and baguettes toasty hot. When heated in the oven, each warming stone can keep baked goods oven fresh for up to an hour!
With each terracotta warming stone, you'll also receive a beautifully handcrafted bread basket. Woven from kaisa or hogla grass, each eco-friendly option gives you a space for your terracotta warming stone to rest, and is perfect for holding a wide assortment of baked goods and treats.
With proper use and care, your terracotta warming stone and bread basket can be enjoyed for years to come. To use, rinse the warming stone before your first use, then dry it well. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Place the terracotta stone in the oven and bake it for 10 minutes. Don't put your bread basket in the oven. Handling carefully, place the hot terracotta warming stone in the bread basket. For best results, wrap your food in a towel before placing it on the warmer. To clean your handmade breadwarmer, rinse it with water. Not dishwasher safe.

An ingenious French-country way to keep your butter soft and spreadable without going rancid. Originating in the late 1800s, this method involves adding cold water to the base of the keeper so that, coupled with anywhere from 1/2 a stick to a 3/4 a stick of butter, it creates an airtight seal. Butter will last on the counter for over a week.
