  • Love Rocks Me Coasters
    Quick shop

These beautiful, smooth, absorbent stone coasters from CoasterStone (made in the USA) are a little larger than standard coasters - each is 4 1/4" square and 1/4" deep - and have a full cork backing to protect furniture. They absorb heat and moisture so they won't stick to your glass and can be used as a mini hot plate. The background color is a neutral ivory/bone shade to coordinate with most decor.

For over three decades, artist Ellen's boating, sailing, and kayaking adventures on the Maine coast inspired her to create a wide range of artwork in a variety of media including shells, driftwood, sea glass, oil paint, and beach stones. During her beachcombing years she collected hundreds of naturally formed heart-shaped rocks.

Love Rocks Me® officially began as her tribute to the great state of Maine in 2010 when she created an outline of the state with love rocks and photographed it for print. She arranges the rocks and photographs each design outdoors at her home near Casco Bay.

  • Alan Claude Notecard Collection

Notecard with envelope plastic sleeve for protection. This card is blank on the inside for your personal message.

About the artist: Alan Claude greatly admires the American realist painter Edward Hopper because of his brilliant use of light and shadow, along with stark empty spaces. Other influences were early 20th century poster artists and pop artist Robert Indiana. In August 2004, Alan and his wife Erin visited with him at his Vinyl Haven island home. Robert Indiana gave them a private tour of his works and discussed art and life. The visit inspired Alan Claude to search further to find his own “voice” or style in art. Alan works in various mediums including pen & ink, photography, and digital illustration.

As with all of our honeys, this honey is “raw” coming straight from the honeycomb, therefore all of the beneficial nutrients are intact. Seasonally limited, get it while you can!!

Raw means no pasteurization or therefore all of the beneficial nutrients of the honey remain intact and ready for your benefit! Straight from the hive to the jar.

    Copper Lobster

    $65.00

Made by a husband and wife duo D. and Kendall in their garage studio, these copper sea life creatures will bring your walls to life. D. and Kendall begin with a heavy 16 ounce (per square foot) sheet of copper that is custom manufactured by Revere Copper to an extreme measure of purity and demanding specifications.

A copper wire is brazed on the back of each wall hanging piece for easy attachment to a small nail or picture hanger. If hanging outdoors, we recommend you do so in a wind protected area or bring the piece indoors during episodes of high winds.

The green patina (verdigris) on parts or all of some pieces is what occurs over time to unprotected copper exposed to the elements and is the reason copper implements thousands of years old are still being found in reasonably good condition.

On some of their pieces, D. and Kendall accelerate this process by brushing on an acid solution, exposing it to a fine water mist until the patina forms, and then blowing off any clear coated areas with compressed air to prevent water spots.
