Full of warmth and spirit, Big Heart Little Stove will show you how to create more joy and connection around your table.

The Lost Kitchen by: Erin French

Erin French grew up in Freedom, Maine (population 719), helping her father at the griddle in his diner. An entirely self-taught cook who used cookbooks to form her culinary education, she founded her acclaimed restaurant, the Lost Kitchen, in the same town, creating meals that draws locals and visitors from around the world to a dining room that feels like an extension of her home.

No one can bring small-town America to life better than a native, especially when it comes to Maine, one of the country’s most off-the-beaten-path states, with an abundant natural bounty that comes from its coastline, rivers, farms, fields, and woods—a cook’s dream. Inspired by her lush locale and classic American cooking, Erin crafts deliciously satisfying and easy-to-make recipes such as Whole-Roasted Trout with Parsnip and Herb Hash, Maine Shrimp Rolls, Ramp and Fiddlehead Fried Rice, and Rhubarb Spoon Cake.

We love kind-ness ❤️ and we love recycled. 🤓

All our “Hackney” backpacks are sustainably & ethically made with our 100% recycled & recyclable water resistant fabric. Instead of the conventional rolled top, we’ve sewn magnets in, so you can close the top easier and quicker. The grab handles also have hidden magnets to keep them together, without the need for any fiddly attachments.

Combined with all the other features, we’ve made our backpack streamlined, uncluttered and contemporary, while improving its functionality at the same time!

    WHY KIND BAG?

481.6 Billion plastic bottles are used worldwide in a single year, and 91% of those aren’t recycled!

We take these used plastic bottles and turn them into our beautiful bags to prevent them ending up in landfill and our oceans.

We also partner with 1% For the Planet to donate 1% of all sales to environmental and social initiatives.
